Greg D’Angelo

Partner

Greg D’Angelo is a partner at The Nickles Group. His public policy expertise encompasses all angles of the health care sector.  His deep understanding of how business and government intersect helps clients navigate increasingly complex public and private partnerships.

Before joining The Nickles Group, Greg was the associate director of health programs at the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB). In that role, he was responsible for overseeing the $1.4 trillion annual health care budget for the Department of Health and Human Services. He reviewed all regulatory and administrative actions taken by federal health agencies, such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). While at OMB, he was also responsible for overseeing key payment rules and demonstration projects related to Medicare, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act.

Greg served for nearly a decade as a professional staff member with the Senate Budget Committee, where he shaped major health care legislation and gained a deep command of Capitol Hill and the budget and reconciliation process. He began his public policy career at the American Enterprise Institute in the Office of Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.), and as a research assistant and health policy analyst at The Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C.
